Did you know that 40 rangers have been killed in Thailand since 2009, while trying to protect wildlife and habitat from poachers and illegal logging? These unsung heroes face dangers every day on patrol, yet receive very little support. Many are given just one uniform throughout their careers, while boots, sleeping bags, first aid equipment and other essential items are also hard to come by.
FREELAND Foundation has launched a crowdfunding campaign to buy much needed equipment for Thailand’s brave forest guardians. You can help purchase uniforms, boots, backpacks, sleeping bags, GPS units, water filters, walkie-talkies, waterproof cameras and first-aid kits.
